Dental Implant

Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge.

Bone Grafting

Bone grafting, or transplanting of bone tissue, is beneficial in fixing bones that are damaged from trauma, and can create a more solid base for an implant.

Wisdom Teeth

Impacted wisdom teeth should be removed to avoid pain, infection, swelling, decay and loss of the neighboring teeth.

Impacted Canines

When a cuspid or upper eyetooth is impacted, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon can aid the eruption of them.

Trauma can include facial and lip lacerations, avulsed teeth (teeth that are knocked out), fractured facial bones and fractured jaws.

Jaw Surgery

Orthognathic surgery is needed when jaws don’t meet correctly, causing a dental malocclusion that cannot be fixed by orthodontics (braces) alone.

Oral Pathology

The inside of the mouth is normally lined with a special type of skin (mucosa) that is smooth and coral pink in color. Any alteration in this appearance could be a warning sign. Screening for oral cancer and early detection is vital for good outcomes.

TMJ Disorders

Intravenous Sedation

headaches, dizziness, clicking sounds in the jaw, tinnitus and/or locked jaws.

Intravenous Sedation

Intravenous anesthesia includes I.V. sedation and general anesthesia for all types of oral surgery. A patient may choose intravenous anesthesia for simple procedures depending on their level of anxiety. Our office strives to provide a safe and comfortable environment in providing care. Due to the complexity of a procedure, intravenous sedation may be recommended. Most people having their wisdom teeth removed or having a dental implant placed will choose intravenous anesthesia.
